3 underrated shows on Netflix you need to watch in February 2025

February is a great month to be a Netflix subscriber, especially if you love TV. The final season of Cobra Kai drops on February 13, as the students of Miyagi-Do close out the Sekai Taikai tournament. Kaitlyn Dever headlines a new limited series, Apple Cider Vinegar, about a girl who lied about a cancer diagnosis to build a following as an influencer.

Two of Netflix’s underappreciated sections are reality and documentary. Netflix continues to release high-quality reality shows and docuseries, from Love Is Blind and Selling Sunset to Tiger King and American Manhunt. Below are three under-the-radar shows to watch this month. Our picks include a rap competition, a WWE docuseries, and a golf showcase.

Rhythm + Flow (2019-)

Imagine watching multiple 8 Mile rap battles over one season. That’s essentially what you get in Rhythm + Flow, a reality TV show competition. A group of aspiring rappers have the chance to prove their worth as MCs. The contestants have to navigate challenges in each episode to advance. If they fail, their fate comes down to the Battle Round, where they’ll have one last chance to showcase their rhymes.

Most music reality shows have a recording contract as the prize. In Rhythm + Flow, the winner walks away with $250,000 and the title of “hip-hop’s newest star.” In season 1, the judges were Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. In the most recent season, contestants must impress the new judges, including DJ Khaled, Latto, and Ludacris.

Mr. McMahon (2024)

One name is synonymous with WWE, and that’s Vincent Kennedy McMahon. To some, he’s known as Mr. McMahon, the brash character people saw on their TVs when watching Raw and SmackDown. In Netflix’s docuseries Mr. McMahon, director Chris Smith tries to explore the life of the eccentric billionaire outside of the ring, both the good and the bad.

The series first explores McMahon’s childhood and rise to power, culminating with his purchase of the World Wrestling Federation in 1982. McMahon turned WWF (now WWE) into a global empire, creating massive superstars like The Rock, John Cena, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. However, it all came crashing down after sexual misconduct allegations led to his ousting from the company.

Full Swing (2023-)

Football fans have Hard Knocks, Formula 1 fans enjoy Drive to Survive, and golf diehards get Full Swing. Netflix takes viewers behind the scenes for a season on the PGA Tour. Each Full Swing season features interviews with some of the tour’s top players as they try to qualify for big events and win major championships. The show grants viewers an all-access look at these players’ lives, as Full Swing follows them off the course.
