Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared at the Munich Security Conference that it is Ukraine keeping the European front strong.
“It is the Ukrainians who hold the European front. An independent Poland and free Baltic states stand behind our people.”
Zelensky didn’t spare Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, “Even Viktor alone can think about how to grow his belly, not how to build up his army to stop Russian tanks from returning to the streets of Budapest.”
The President stressed the human cost, “Ukrainians are people. People, not terminators.
“Our people are dying too. And that’s why we are doing everything we can to stop this war and guarantee security.”
Zelensky slammed Europe’s absence from peace talks, he said, “The Americans often return to the issue of concessions. And too often, these concessions are discussed in the context of Ukraine alone, not Russia. Europe is practically absent from the table. This is a big mistake, in my opinion.”
He mocked Russia’s vague negotiating rhetoric, saying, “The Russians often talk about ‘some kind of Anchorage spirit’ during negotiations, and we can only guess what they really mean.”
Zelensky vowed to bring Europe fully into negotiations, ensuring its interests are heard.
“Ukraine will do everything, truly everything, to make these negotiations successful. We’ve invested in this process, and we’re in constant communication with Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and everyone else appointed by President Trump.”
Europe may be standing behind Ukraine today —
but Zelensky warns it’s Ukraine holding the line, fighting for the continent’s freedom while Russian forces rage on.
