Before Samsung could send out the official press release, the internet seems to have ripped open the Galaxy A57 5G’s box, revealing the colors and design of the handset ahead of its official launch (via SamMobile).

Unboxing videos for the Galaxy A57 5G, along with those for the Galaxy A37 5G, have been uploaded to TikTok (by Sawitri Kulwarissaranan). The first thing shown in the videos is the minimalist retail boxes for the smartphones, each with the phone’s name.

What do the hands-on videos reveal?

The unboxing videos showcase the Galaxy A57 5G in purple and the Galaxy A37 in gray. Both handsets feature a glass-and-metal build with a triple rear camera setup. Furthermore, they run One UI 8.5 out of the box, which is based on Android 16.

The Galaxy A57 5G is priced at THB 17,999, which is around $554, for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at THB 20,999. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A37 5G costs THB 13,999, around $430, for the 8GB + 256GB.

According to a recent Android Headlines report citing tipster Alfatürk, who shared the internal hardware images of the Galaxy A57, the handset features a noticeably larger vapor chamber.

The Galaxy A57 could be a cool phone, quite literally

This could be a key upgrade for dispersing heat, especially during heavy multitasking or gaming sessions.

Despite the better vapor chamber, the Galaxy A57 could be just 6.9mm thick and weigh 179 grams. In other words, the phone could be exceptionally thin and lightweight while still maintaining peak performance for a longer time.

To pull this off, Samsung is reportedly using a gradation pad and mirror printing finish on the back, along with the signature “Key Island” design for the power and volume buttons (on the side). The phone could also feature slimmer bezels, complementing a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display.
