Ferry passengers travelling on P&O Ferries, Irish Ferries and DFDS have either delayed, rerouted or cancelled sailings from Calais to Dover.

The operators were forced to take action due to strike action in the French port which has caused major disruption.

Just before 8am on Friday P&O Ferries issued the warning saying, “Our check-in is currently suspended.

“Rest assured if you miss your booked departure, we will get you on the next available.”
