Earnings
Truss earns £71,673 for her role as Foreign Secretary (of which she only claims £67,505)
She also makes an additional £84,144 for being the Conservative MP for South West Norfolk. On moving into Downing Street, Ms Truss would be entitled to a 5.3% pay rise taking her to £164,080.
Property
Truss lives with her husband and two daughters in Norfolk in a detached home they purchased in 2010 for £180,000.

Expenses
Truss found herself in hot water earlier in the year when she asked for public money to cover a £3,000 lunch.
Leaked correspondence to the Guardian revealed the foreign secretary “refused to consider anywhere else” and asked that public funds should pay for a £3,000 event with Joe Biden’s trade representative.
According to the correspondence, Truss, then the trade secretary, “explicitly asked that we book 5 Hertford Street”, which is owned by Robin Birley, a Tory donor.
The Guardian reported: “Truss is reported to have previously used it to host “fizz with Liz” dinners with MPs and “biz for Liz” receptions with potential donors, in preparation for a likely leadership bid.”
