Slovenia has warned Ukraine against making any hasty decisions to launch attacks deep inside the Russian Federation using long-range weapons.

Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob said it is “not the best tactic” and all options have to be explored and discussed.

He said, “To say in advance that there are issues that are not to be discussed is usually not the best tactic.

“This is a complex issue, but I believe that at this stage, all options need to be discussed, and then the one that best fits the current situation should be chosen.”

The Ukrainian President Volodymy Zelensky is in New York trying to persuade Western allies to allow him to use the British Storm Shadow and French SCALP cruise missiles and the US supplied ATACMS to strike military targets in Russia.

The deputy head of the National Security Council Dmitry Medvedev also warned that any attack on Russia using any type of weapon with the support or participation if a nuclear-weapon country “will be considered a joint-attack.”

Vladimir Putin has now tweaked Russia’s nuclear doctrine, so any long-range attacks by Ukraine on the Russian Federation by using “aerospace weapons, including aircraft missiles and UAVs” is now “the basis for the use of nuclear weapons.”

Medvedev who is Putin’s right-hand man warned, “A massive launch and crossing of our border with enemy aerospace weapons, including aircraft, missiles and UAVs, can under certain conditions become the basis for the use of nuclear weapons.

“Aggression against Russia by a non-nuclear-weapon state, but with the support or participation of a nuclear-weapon country, will be considered a joint attack.”
