Ukrainian forces have attacked an ammunition depot deep inside Russia thought to be storing North Korean ballistic missiles in Bryansk Oblast.

A Ukrainian drone blew up the Russian weapons storage and the emergencies ministry said an emergency has been declared amid “detonations of explosive objects” overnight.

Ukraine’s General Staff reported on Wednesday, “According to available information, missiles and artillery weapons, including those that came from North Korea, as well as guided aerial bombs, were stored on the territory of the warehouse.

“A significant number were located under the open sky.”

Russian residents reported waking up to air raid sirens in the early hours on Wednesday morning as the weapons depot in Bryansk Oblast was attacked, the Telegram channel Astra reports.

There were “dozens of secondary explosions seen and heard” by residents in the area, OSINTtechincal reported on X.

This comes two weeks after Ukraine hit one of the largest ammunition depots deep inside Russia which caused an “earthquake sized blast,” Reuters has reported.

The weapons depot stored around two to three months worth of weaponry including North Korean missiles and Russian shells.
