Former North Korean soldiers who defected and are living in permanently in South Korea have contacted the Ukrainian embassy in Seoul to offer their influence to help Kyiv as Russia has deployed the DPRK soldiers to the battlefield.

The South China Morning Post reports on Monday the former North Korean soldiers have offered their services and experience to act as “psychological warfare agents” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).

NATO, the US and other Western countries have said that North Korean troops are in Russia to fight alongside the Russian Army in the war in Ukraine.

Western intelligence agencies have reported over the past week there is between 10,0000 and 12,000 DPRK troops who are to be deployed and fight for Vladimir Putin.

Lee Min-bok, one of the initiative’s key figures, told the Ukrainian embassy in Seoul, “North Korean soldiers are there essentially as mercenaries, but we would go as volunteers with a goodwill mission.

Simply our presence in Ukraine could significantly impact the morale of North Korean troops.”

He added that Kom Jong-Un’s soldiers will be treated as “cannon fodder.”

He said, “North Korean soldiers could find hope and courage in our presence in Ukraine, inspiring them to cross over in search of freedom.”

The Russian Amry are using tactics of mass infantry attacks to overwhelm Ukrainian troops causing a high number of losses for Putin’s soldiers.

The Kyiv Independent reported, Ahn Chan-il, who leads the World Institute for North Korea Studies said, “We are all military veterans who understand North Korea’s military culture and psychological state better than anyone else.

“We’re ready to go wherever needed to work as psychological warfare agents – through loudspeaker broadcasts, distributing leaflets, and even acting as interpreters.”

The US President Joe Biden has been told he should “seriously consider” to take “direct military action” against North Korean soldiers if they enter into Ukraine.

The US Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Michael R. Turner has called on the Biden administration to “make [it] clear” North Korean troops fighting inside Ukraine crosses the “red line” for America.

There are varying reports of how many North Korean troops are actually in Russia, either way intelligence agencies all agree that there is thousands of Pyongyang soldiers in country.

Turner said, “Now that Secretary Austin has finally acknowledged that North Korean troops are in Russia preparing to enter the conflict with Ukraine, the Biden-Harris Administration must make clear that North Korean troops entering this conflict are a red line for the United States.”
