The US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth has acknowledged that Ukraine could possibly be allowed nuclear weapons.

The Pentagon chief said that this decision rests with the US President Donald Trump, he said during an interview with Breitbart News.

During a conversation with reporters Hegseth said he will not “declare anything on or off the table,” he added, “That’s not my job.

“That’s the president’s job. He’s the leader, he’s the master negotiator and dealmaker.”

Hegseth said that it is their intention to end the war in Ukraine, he added, “Some of us are out there to help set certain types of conditions that could make a deal more likely and that’s what I’ve tried to do here in the context of NATO.”
