The US President Donald Trump has sent Moscow a warning there will be “devastating” consequences of the war does not end.
Trump warned that he “can do things financially” which will be “very bad for Russia.”
The BBC reported, “There are things you can do that wouldn’t be pleasant in a financial sense. I can do things financially. It would be very bad for Russia.
“I don’t want to do that, because I want to get peace.”
The US President that he believes the Ukrainian’s were once “difficult” and he has changed his opinion.
He said, “I had somebody (Zelensky) that didn’t seem to want peace. Now he’s agreed to peace. So we’ll see.”

Trump said he is hoping to “get a ceasefire from Russia. If we do, I think that would be 80% of the way to getting this horrible blood bath to end.”
“We think we’re in a very good place where the Ukrainians have agreed to a ceasefire and we’re now going to see whether we can get the Russians to agree to a ceasefire too,” the US Vice President JD Vance said at a briefing in the Oval Office.
A US Senator has demanded that if Russia refuses the 30 day ceasefire then the we “should sanction the hell out of them.”
Lindsey Graham said Washington must also sanction countries who buys Russian goods such as uranium oil and gas.
The Republican wrote on X, “I am very encouraged to hear that Ukraine has agreed to the United States’ proposal for a 30-day ceasefire (…) I hope Russia will follow. If Russia refuses, we should sanction the hell out of them.
“…congressionally mandated sanctions that will not only impact Russia, but will also impose sanctions and tariffs on countries that buy Russian goods, including oil, gas and uranium.
“It is long overdue for Russia to feel overwhelming economic pain as a result of their brutal invasion of Ukraine.”
The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said during a briefing on Wednesday that Ukraine will never recognise the occupied territories as Russian, and this is a “red line” to any negotiations.
He stated that Ukrainian soldiers have “fought for this” and “our heroes have died” to take back their territory from Russia.
President Zelensky said, “As for red lines. I, as President, and Ukrainians, as citizens of their country, will not violate their constitution but will defend our sovereignty and our independence, protecting our people and our land.
“It is very difficult for us to fight against such an enemy, and that is clear.”
