Polling guru has said that “in a sense” Reform has “already won” the local elections three days ahead of 1 May as less people are going to vote for the Tories or Labour.

Polling guru Sir John Curtice has said that record numbers of votes have turned their backs on Labour and the Conservatives and the Prime Minister has been told that Farage’s party, Reform UK “has already won” the May local elections.

Speaking to the Independent Curtice said, “Fewer than half of the people who tell pollsters how they are going to vote say they are going to vote either Conservative or Labour. It has never been quite that low before.”

He continued, “Reform, in a sense, have already won these local elections. One of the targets they set for themselves is to create local party organisations.

“Evidently, in the limited number of places we have elections, they have managed to create enough of an organisation to find 1,600 candidates, and they are fighting for more seats than any other party.”

Curtice said Reform UK is polling at about 15% which is “great” for Labour as it has now “murdered” the Tory Party.

The polling guru said that Reform is now polling at 25% who are now able to claim “loads” of Labour seats.

Curtice said, “We are in very uncertain territory… partly because Reform are intervening virtually everywhere. There is no baseline against which to measure them.”

Last week, polling expert Lord Hayward has said that Nigel Farage could be set to win hundreds of Tory seats which will be a major blow for the Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch.

Lord Hayward said that Reform UK could win between 400 and 450 seats during the local elections, Badenoch has previously admitted it will be a “difficult” period.

Lord Hayward has predicted that Labour will see little change, he told The Telegraph, “They will make some gains from the Conservatives but there will be losses to Reform and others.

“They will fail to take seats in the Midlands and the North that they should have won.”
