A Scottish Independence Referendum is 13/2 to happen next year with Nicola Sturgeon claiming a vote could be held next October.

However, a referendum is odds-on at 1/8 to not happen before 2025, with it 21/1 to occur in 2024.

Betfair Exchange: Year of next Scottish Independence Referendum

2022: 199/1

2023: 13/2

2024: 21/1

Not before 2025: 1/8

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom told LondonLovesBusiness.com, “A Supreme Court is hearing legal arguments on whether Scotland can hold an independence referendum without Westminister’s consent this week.

“First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has claimed a vote could take place next October, with it 13/2 on Betfair Exchange to happen at some point next year.

“However, a referendum to not occur before 2025 is odds-on at 1/8, which would come as a hammer blow to Sturgeon’s hopes.”
