Ukraine’s defence intelligence agency (HUR) has destroyed a Russian patrol boat in the Black Sea using a laser-guided missile guided by a drone.

The attack took place in the occupied town of  Zaliznyi Port in Kherson Oblast, and a drone mounted laser illuminated and directed the missile to blow up the Russian boat killing all crew members.

The HUR said in a statement, “The high-precision destructive strike with a missile on an enemy target in the Black Sea was made possible thanks to laser illumination from a drone, which also recorded the successful destruction of the military boat with the Russians.”

The HUR added that destroying the patrol boat clearly shows that “the armed struggle for Ukraine continues,” despite Vladimir Putin’s rhetoric he is wanting peace.
