If you want to play at 4K, then you’ll need the best configuration that the Aurora R16 has, or close to it, since it comes with an RTX 4090 under the hood. It’s the best GPU on the market, even though it’s overpriced, but at least you do get $600 knocked off the price, as well as some other great specs like 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage.

How to Choose an Alienware Gaming PC on Black Friday

Last year, Alienware offered several options when it came to gaming PCs in the form of the Aurora R13, R15, and the newer R16. This year, only the R16 is on offer, so if you’re looking to buy a new gaming PC, then one of the many Aurora R16 configurations is the way to go. Luckily, you have a lot of options, but for the most part, you’re going to be picking the sort of GPU you want, and a lot of that will also depend on what resolution and refresh rate you want to game on.

For 1080p gaming, the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 series are great options, and the latter is good for higher refresh rates or even potentially 2K resolutions. The RTX 4080 lineup is also a solid 2K GPU, especially for higher resolutions, although it can be pushed to 4K if needed. As for the RTX 4090, that’s purely a 4K card, and using it for anything less would be a shame unless you’re trying to push insane refresh rates like 300-500Hz. So, ultimately, a lot of your picks depend on the monitor resolution and refresh rate and what sort of budget you’re going for.

How We Chose these Alienware Gaming PC Black Friday deals

Since there are so many configurations to pick from, we did our best to give you an entry-level option, a mid-range option and the best option when it comes to the Aurora R16, so that you can really pick the specs that work for you. The same goes for the Alienware monitors, where we picked a couple of options in various resolutions so that you can pick what you want to prioritize.

Beyond that, we also did our best to find the best deals possible using our experience as reviewers and deal hunters, so that when you snag any deal, you know that you’re getting the best price and buying with confidence.
