One of the most prevalent puzzles throughout the entirety of Alan Wake 2 are the computer password puzzles, and The Lake House DLC is no stranger to them. Players will typically be given a six-digit password to figure out using the clues from the documents around them, or sometimes unlocking computers can be done by looking at the sticky notes on the monitors.

More often than not, the answers to these puzzles won’t just be right in your face or obvious. This may make it difficult for you to figure out which numbers from the clues given are the correct ones to use, and the order of these numbers can also be unclear. To make traversing the Lake House much easier in Alan Wake 2, here are all the computer password puzzle solutions.

Elevator keycard computer password

Remedy

In the first few minutes of The Lake House, you must unlock a computer on the ground level to gain access to the main elevator of this research facility. To get the elevator keycard, the six-digit password is 071838. Figuring this one out has you use the document and calendar to the left of the computer, as well as the framed letter on the bookshelf across the room.

The password must be changed daily, and the company recommended using permanent digits for the first four that represented significant personal dates. With this knowledge, you can look at the framed letter to find out that this facility completed construction on July 18, which is 0718 in numbers. Finally, use the number 38 from the daily fun fact written on the calendar by the computer.

Sublevel 2 computer password

Remedy

On Sublevel Two of the Lake House, you’ll eventually make it inside the Control Center with the aim of ending the lockdown, only to find the computer locked. You can unlock the Control Center computer on Sublevel Two with the password 092225. This one took a lot more sleuthing than the previous puzzle, but the clues involve the art documents to the left of this computer, as well as the email logs and the calendar in the other room.

Unlock Office 2.4 connected to the Control Center, take down a Shadow, and then read the emails on the computer. The second-most-recent email explains how today’s password is this person’s anniversary date with another researcher plus “Brown Shape with Horns.” First off, the anniversary clue is in the document on the same desk explaining how the anniversary is a week from this Friday, and the note was written on 9/14.

Check the calendar in the same room, and you’ll realize the anniversary is September 22, which is 0922 in numbers. To get the number 25, read the documents detailing the art projects beside the Control Center computer. The art piece named “Brown Shape with Horns” has the number 25 at the end, giving you the computer password 092225.

All sticky note computer passwords

Remedy

Other than the computer passwords involving detailed puzzles, any other computer you’ll find in the Lake House can be unlocked by simply viewing the sticky note attached to the monitor. It may be difficult to read or notice if you’re in a dark room, and if you end up unlocking all computers you’ll receive the Trophy/Achievement called Hard Work. If you missed any of them, here they all are:

  • Sublevel One (near Black Rock Launcher): 021219
  • Sublevel Two (near Ed Booker): 123456
  • Sublevel Four (in Dr. Marmont’s office): 685298
