Germany’s Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has hit out at Vladimir Putin as he and his line up of officials continue to scupper any chance of peace as Moscow keeps demanding territory, to which he keeps being told, he will not get.

Wadephul said speaking in Latvia that what was seen during the peace talks in UAE is “Russia’s stubborn insistence on the crucial territorial issue.”

“And if there is no flexibility here, I fear that the negotiations may still take a long time or may not be successful at this stage,” he said.

He added, “Our commitment to diplomacy does not weaken our determination to support Ukraine.”

The German Foreign Minister said that real peace talks will only happen when Moscow finally wakes up  and understands that Europe is steadfast with Ukraine.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made it abundantly clear to the US President and Putin that Kyiv will not cede any territory to Russia.

President Zelensky has said his “position has not changed” because all territory is in “the Constitution of Ukraine.”

President Zelensky previously stated, “As for my position, it has not changed, because it has a foundation – the Constitution of Ukraine.

“Until the Constitution of the state is changed, the position of the guarantor of this Constitution cannot be changed. Today we discussed these issues [territorial], of course, these are very complex issues.

I want to emphasize right away: any issues related to the territorial validity of our state cannot be discussed without regard for our state, our people, the will of the state… and the Constitution of Ukraine.”

Zelensky has also insisted that Ukraine will not withdraw troops from the Donbas as this will be used by Putin for another offensive in the future, he then warned that if Kyiv does withdraw then World War Three will start.

The Russian dictator has made it clear there will be no compromise in peace talks and there will be no peacekeepers and Vladimir Putin is setting “maximalist” demands that he wants all the occupied territories, Bloomberg previously reported.
