The Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced the government will be coming down hard on illegal gangs.

Cooper has also announced she will clampdown on immigrants who are working illegally in the UK.

The Home Secretary has also revealed that she will deport 14,000 illegal migrants by the end of this year.

Since Sir Keir Starmer became the Prime Minister more than 5,000 illegal immigrants have crossed the English Channel and have arrived at our shores.

The Home Secretary has vowed she will crack down over the soaring numbers of illegal immigrants crossing the Channel and simply walking on to our beaches.

A border control expert has blasted the government’s measures and said that the Home Secretary should simply “deport them.”

Speaking to GB News, Henry Bolton who is a former police officer and border control expert said, “The measures that are being implemented now are measures that aren’t new. These are measures that were brought in by Robert Jenrick when he was immigration minister on the 8th of August.”

He added, “It’s been a failure, not of Brexit, but of our own leaders, our own government, both the Conservative government and now the Labour government.

I don’t expect the Labour Government to really seize this opportunity with both hands and huge enthusiasm. So, I don’t think it’s going to happen.

“What needs to happen is that we actually need to start deporting people.”

The Labour government has also been accused that they are “likely” going to make illegal immigration “worse.”

Cooper has claimed the government will deport over 14,000 illegal migrants by the end of this year, which means as of today’s date Labour has just 127 days.

Cooper claims, “Our new Border Security Command will work with European enforcement agencies to find every route in to smash the criminal smuggling gangs organising dangerous boat crossings which undermine our border security and put lives at risk.”

Former Conservative MP Damian Green told GB News that Labour needs “a deterrent” to tackle the mass migration.

GB News asked Green if he is “optimistic” over the government’s plans, he said, “No, this government will benefit from the decisions taken by the previous government about legal migration, such as family visas, that’s reducing the numbers.
