The British Foreign Secretary has told Brits to “leave Lebanon now” as the Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has warned “Israel’s declared war.”

The British Foreign Office has warned that the situation in Lebanon could “deteriorate rapidly,” which comes as Israel attacked more than 100 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

The Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah accused Israel of carrying out “massacres” as they were intent on killing “5,000 people in two minutes” across blasts which were heard across Lebanon and in the capital, Beirut on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Nasrallah said the attack by Israel which caused thousands of explosions was “unprecedented” and this “could be a declaration of war” as Tel Aviv is accused of “violating red lines” which is a “test for Hezbollah.

Nasrallah told a large crowd in Beirut that the “Israeli enemy has targeted many of the pagers” which is a “severe blow” and Israel “has actually crossed over all the red lines.”

The Hezbollah leader has vowed they will retaliate against Israel which then attacked around 150 launcher barrels which were “ready to fire projectiles toward Israeli territory.”

David Lammy wrote on X on Friday, “My message to British nationals in Lebanon is leave while commercial options remain. Tensions are high and the situation could deteriorate rapidly.”

There are reports coming out of Syria that a senior official from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)) was killed in another wave of strikes in Damascus.

The Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant warned they are “entering a new phase of the war” following the pager and walkie talkie explosions that rocked Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

The Israeli military said: “The IDF continues to damage and degrade the terror capabilities and military infrastructure of the Hezbollah terror organisation.”
