The Chancellor has hit back at people calling her “Rachel from accounts” saying it is “misogynistic and deeply unprofessional.”
Rachel Reeves has said she has “probably been called worse things” and a colleague has come to her defence.
Reeves told Sky News, “In the end, people are going to judge me on the job that I’m doing now, that I’m doing as Chancellor of the Exchequer.”
Labour MP Peter Prinsley said, “It’s a disgrace that members of the opposition have been referring to the Chancellor of the Exchequer as ‘Rachel from accounts’,” he said that it is “misogynistic and deeply unprofessional.”
The nickname “Rachel from accounts” came as accusations rose that she had lied on her CV, she denies this
