Ukrainian troops have captured “two Chinese citizens” who were fighting for Vladimir Putin in the Occupied region of Donetsk Oblast.
The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that his troops were fighting against six Chinese nationals close to the villages of Tarasivka and Bilohorivka, in Donetsk.
Zelensky said that “one more country has now joined Russia’s war against Ukraine.”
President Zelensky confirmed, “We have information that there are much more than two such Chinese citizens in the occupier’s units.
“We have the documents of these prisoners, bank cards, personal data.”

The Ukrainian Security Service are holding the two captured soldiers, and the Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has been ordered to contact Beijing urgently to find out what the Chinese authorities want to do.
President Zelensky said, “We definitely need a reaction to this. A reaction from the United States, Europe and everyone in the world who wants peace.”
It has become clear that China is yet another country, like North Korea and Iran that support Putin’s war in Ukraine.
“But there is a difference: the North Koreans fought against us in the Kursk direction, the Chinese are fighting on the territory of Ukraine.”
He continued, “Russia’s involvement of China, along with other countries, whether directly or indirectly, in this war in Europe is a clear signal that Putin intends to do anything but end the war. He is looking for ways to continue fighting.”
He added, “The captured Chinese citizens are now in the custody of the Security Service of Ukraine.
“Relevant investigative and operational actions are ongoing.”
