The former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has arrived in London and will join thousands of furious farmers who are protesting over the Chancellor’s so called “tactor tax.”
Clarkson has been a vocal critic of Labour and Rachel Reeves and her inheritance tax changes which will see around 40,000 famers demonstrating in London on Tuesday.
Labour’s inheritance tax will take affect from 2026 and farmers who own land worth more than £1 million will not be allowed to leave their farms to their children unless they pay an extortionate amount of tax which will force many to sell up.
The inheritance tax would have to be paid in instalments over a 10-year period under Labour’s new measures.
Clarkson said that “we have a new government. It’s turning out to be hopless.”

Clarkson blasted, “The truth is, there are no farmers who are happy with what Reeves and her politburo have done. And when you see what happens to the countryside and the cost of your food, you won’t be happy either…
“I’m becoming more and more convinced that Starmer and Reeves have a sinister plan.
“They want to carpet bomb our farmland with new towns for immigrants and net zero windfarms. But before they can do that, they have to ethnically cleanse the countryside of farmers.
“That’s why they had a Budget which makes farming nigh on impossible. And that’s why I’ll be in London on the 19th.”

She said, “Rachel Reeves had f****d all farmers, she has destroyed their ability to pass farms on to their children, and broken the future of all our great estates, it is an appalling decision which shows the government has ZERO understanding of what matters to rural voters.
