A Ukrainian military intelligence source has confirmed that three of Russia’s oil and gas pipelines have been attacked causing massive explosions.
The source told the Kyiv Independent that the explosions in Penza has severely damaged the pipeline and is now out of service.
The Penza pipeline has a capacity of 2 million barrels per day and the regional gas line in the same location is also out of service, the cause of the blasts has not been revealed.
In the Zheleznodorozhny city district of Penza explosions were heard at around 4am and the pipeline is used to “”supply military facilities involved in the full-scale war against Ukraine.”

Transneft Druzhba, Russia’s state-owned pipeline operator, claimed that they were carrying out “planned exercises at the facilities, local media reported.
Russian authorities have urged citizens to “remain calm and trust only verified sources of information,” in an attempt to try and stay in control of the information.
