The Foreign Secretary David Lammy has warned that things in Lebanon are “fast moving” and the Foreign Office are strongly advising Brits in the country to leave now.

There is fears of all out war between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah as the latter has moved precision guided missiles in preparation for any attack.

The Foreign Office added, “Do not rely on FCDO being able to evacuate you in an emergency.

“You should have a personal emergency plan that does not rely on the UK government.

“This may include the ability to leave quickly or to shelter in place if you judge it necessary and safe to do so.”

Tensions in the region has escalated weekly since the war in Gaza started following the deadly 7 October attack on Israelis by Hamas.
