Google has been steadily building out Find Hub, and the latest update is a meaningful one. Previously, you could only track phones, tablets, and Wear OS watches via the Find Hub website. But now, you can also use it to track tags and compatible headphones (like the Pixel Buds Pro 2).

In short, you can now locate your misplaced earbuds from your laptop, without using your Android smartphone.

What can you do on the updated Find Hub website?

Quite a bit more, actually. The refreshed Find Hub site now lets you ring a personal tracker remotely, flag a device as lost, rename it, or even remote it entirely, all without touching your smartphone.

The desktop layout has been updated with Google’s Material 3 design elements, which give it a cleaner, more polished look. Even when you’re accessing the Find Hub website through a smartphone, it won’t feel any different than the native app, so you can easily find what you’re looking for.

Yes, the options mirror what the Android app already offers. As a result, the experience of tracking your devices across the mobile app and the website feels consistent.

Why does the update matter?

The answer is quite simple: you can lose a device anytime, anywhere, it doesn’t matter whether you have your phone handy or not. Being able to pull up a browser on any laptop or smartphone and immediately locate a tag you slipped into a bag, or headphones you left at the office, is something that is quite useful in my opinion.

Google has also added a “People” tab to the website, making it easier to view and manage shared location access, all from one place. Most recently, Google also integrated the Find Hub with its Messages app and added a luggage-tracking feature for airline travel.
