How to join the Remix Prelude live event

Fortnite Remix playlist in Discover
Tech Reader

Remix: The Prelude will have a new playlist of the same name, which means it will be a different game mode than your typical Creative/UEFN maps. As per Epic, the event will take place on the Battle Royale island, so brace yourselves as it goes live.

To join the event, all you need to do is scroll down in the Discover Row under the By Epic column and you’ll be able to spot the playlist icon there.

We advise you to load into the playlist at least 30 minutes prior to the event to avoid long queue times and connection errors, both of which are quite common in an event of such scale.

What will happen during the live event?

The Remix Prelude live event has a concert theme that is rumored to bring in Marshmello to kick-start a party that will rift players onto the Chapter 2 Remix island. As of now, you’ll be able to spot a Rift Beacon active at the Restored Reels point of interest (POI )that WILL SHOOT a beam at the screen and open a portal through the Chapter 2 graffiti.

However, more rumors suggest that rather than players traveling to the island, POIs and more gameplay elements from Chapter 2 seasons could arrive on the Chapter 5 map.

All of this will unfold as players get closer to the Chapter 5 ending live event that will kick things off in a remixed way for OG players who loved all the seasons of Chapter 2.
