The Hungarian Defence Minister Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky has deployed their air defences close to the Ukrainian border.

This comes as the Washington and London have allowed Kyiv to launch long-range missiles inside Russia and the deployment of the air defences comes as “the war has entered its most dangerous phase,” the Kyiv Independent reports.

Szalay-Bobrovniczky has deployed the air defences in the northeastern regions as Western missiles are now being used and Vladimir Putin has lowered the threshold of a nuclear strike.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said it is necessary to “strengthen efforts to bring peace” as “each day brings with it the risk of escalating war.

Last month the Hungarian Prime Minister has warned Ukraine’s victory plan could spark World War Three.

Orban said, “The chances of the war spreading are increasing, and if that happens, who knows where it will stop?

“We haven’t been this close to a world war in seventy years. The king is naked: Brussels bureaucrats have dragged the West into a hopeless war.”

In May Orban said that he will not participate “in the war” in Ukraine and Budapest are reassessing their role as a NATO member.

Orban told Kossuth radio station that Brussels is making military plans which includes “task forces working on ways for NATO to take part in this war.”

He said, “Hungary is opposed to this. The government is working intensively to figure out how to avoid participating in the war while remaining a NATO member.”

Orban added that Brussels is aware and said that Hungary is a “non-participant.”
