Tehran has issued a warning to Israel that they will avenge the killing of the Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in August in what will be a “definitive” attack.
Escalation across the Middle East is growing, and Tehran warned their attack on Israel will be “measured and calculated.”
Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister warned, “Iran reaction to Israeli terrorist attack in Tehran is definitive and will be measured and well calculated.
“We do not fear escalation, yet do not seek it – unlike Israel.”
Tensions in the Middle East is still escalating after Israel launched a series of “pre-emptive” strike on Hezbollah in Lebanon on Sunday after 320 missiles and drones were fired at Israeli military bases.
The Iranian backed militant group Hezbollah who are based in southern Lebanon launched a “large number of drones” into Israel in response to Tel Aviv killing one of their commanders in Beirut last month.
There are fears of a regional war in the Middle East and the British government are urging all sides not to escalate tensions any further.
The British Foreign Office has warned Britons on Sunday a “do not travel” advisory to Israel, the West Bank and areas in or near to Gaza as tensions have escalated.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hezbollah on Sunday that airstrikes on Lebanon is far from “the end of the story.”
