Tehran has warned that Israel has declared “war” and Iran will respond forcefully as “security in the region” has been “threatened.”

Israel launched airstrikes across various targets dotted around Iran, they blew up the Natanz nuclear facility and Tehran said their senior military leadership had been assassinated.

Tehran fired 100 drones towards Israel, but they are no match for Israels Iron Dome and other air defences which shot them down before entering their country.

An Israeli Defence Force spokesperson said they attack “the largest [nuclear] enrichment site in Iran,” the Natanz nuclear site.

They added that the IDF has “significantly harmed” Natanz, “we have attacked this underground facility and other crucial infrastructure at this site.”

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, threatened “severe punishment” against Israel warning we will “end of this story will be written by Iran’s hand.”

In a furious statement, the Iranian government accused Israel of “not adhere to any international rules or laws and, like a drunkard, openly and brazenly engages in terror and ignites the flames of war before the eyes of the world, including westerners who claim to uphold human rights and international law.”

“Starting a war with Iran is playing with the lion’s tail,” the statement added.

The Iranian regime said they need to assemble a nuclear bomb in the face of Israel’s attacks, they said in a statement, “The world now better understands Iran’s insistence on the right to enrichment, nuclear technology and missile power, and the enemy has made it possible to prove our injustice and righteousness, who is the aggressor and which regime is threatening the security of the region.”

The IDF said that Israel was “left with no choice but to take action” as Iran was so close to building a nuclear bomb.

The IDF warned that they are preparing for further strikes and Israeli’s were told in an “early warning” as “we understood there could be a strike on the Israeli homefront.”

Israeli’s operate with “responsibility and calmness,” warning “these are going to be perhaps a few difficult days.
