An astrophysicist has said he believes an “alien attack” could happen imminently as Professor Avi Loeb has said 3I/Atlas could turn out to be an extraterrestrial spaceship.

The interstellar object is travelling at the speed of 130,000mph which “could be alien” and Dr Loeb warned it “may come to save us or destroy us.”

3I/Atlas was first spotted on 1 July and many scientists are in agreement that it is a strange comet, a new study that was signed by 20 scientists and astronomers are asking if this is not a comet, then is it a “camouflaged” spaceship?

The scientists are not ruling out any hypothesis as such objects can hide technological signals, they say.

‘Alien mothership’ appears to have reversed ‘thrust’ near to the sun leaving scientists perplexed

The astrophysicist said the alien ship could launch a surprise attack on Earth when it is at it’s closest point to the sun on 29 October.

Dr Loeb warned, “If you want to take a vacation, take it before that date. Because who knows what will happen.”

He has predicted that 3I/Atlas may reach Earth between 21 November and 5 December, and the object is travelling twice the speed of any normal comet.

The Harvard Professor said high-resolution images shows the object is emitting a plume of nickel and there is no sign of iron, this has never been seen before, it has only been witnessed in human manufacturing, he told the New York Post.

Dr Loeb added, “There is only one place where that is known to exist and that is in industrially produced nickel alloys.

“This was never observed for any other object. This was a process that we can imagine only because it was used in industry. Never seen in comets before.”

The astrophysicist said there is something about this object which doesn’t add up, which comes as a few weeks ago it was emitting a reddish glow compared to its previous green glow, this is raising further doubts amongst experts.

He said in September, “It’s definitely not a behaviour we observed before for any comet.

“I’m allowing myself the possibility that it’s a technological object.”

Last month Scientists from the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope in Chile said the interstellar object had turned green and it looks like something has “switched on.”

Oxford Uni astronomer Chris Lintott hit out at Dr Loeb and dismissed the claims as “nonsense on stilts,” adding the alien theory is an “insult to the exciting work going on to understand this object”.
