An Israeli official has said on Monday afternoon the military operation against Iran could last for up to two to three weeks.
The official told The Times of Israel the timeframe of the continued military operation will depend on political decisions by the Israeli government.
The official said, “There’s a bank of military targets that we can complete pretty quickly.
“If they decide to expand it to more like government symbols, economical targets, all that, then it will take longer.”
The official said that Israel is trying to “cause enough damage [to the nuclear program] to revert to diplomacy and get a good agreement,” between the West and Iran.
Tehran has said that is Israel “stops attacking, they will stop and they’re ready to go back to the negotiations.
“But Israel has to stop first.”
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel now “controls the skies over Tehran,” adding “this is a change in the entire campaign” he said during a visit to the Tel Nof Airbase.
Netanyahu said that Israel is “on the war” to destroy Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile threats, The Times of Israel reported.
He said, “When we control the skies over Tehran, we are hitting these targets, the targets of the regime, unlike the criminal regime of Iran that targets our citizens and comes to kill children and women.”
