The controversial US Vice President JD Vance has said that Ukraine is not “winning the war” and he cannot guarantee that a peace deal will be made.
Previously the US President claimed he would end the war in 24 hours, now Donald Trump has been in office for 100 days and there is still no ceasefire nor a peace deal.
The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this week will determine whether or not Washington will remain in the peace process.
Vance said on the Charlie Kirk Show podcast, “Sometimes you’re incredibly frustrated with the Ukrainians, sometimes you’re incredibly frustrated with the Russians.”

He claimed that the US negotiating teams are “making progress,” however there is no guarantee a peace deal can be made.
Vance added, “I can’t say with 100% certainty, Charlie, that we’re going to be able to do it.”
The US Vice President does not believe that Ukraine will defeat Russia and will be able to take back their occupied territories, including Crimea.
He told the podcast, “If this doesn’t stop, the Ukrainians aren’t winning the war.
“I think there’s this weird idea among the mainstream media that if this thing goes on for just another few years, the Russians will collapse, the Ukrainians will take their territory back, and everything will go back to the way that it was before the war.
“That is not the reality that we live in.”
Vance warned that if the war continues both Russia and Ukraine will face a societal collapse, more lives will be lost and then there is a greater risk of an all-out nuclear war, the Kyiv Independent reported.
The US Vice President insisted, “It has to stop. It is the policy of this administration that it stops.”
