The Conservative MP Robert Jenrick has spent 48 hours in northern France filming the illegal migrants heading straight to the English Channel and no French police were seen, despite the UK paying Paris £800 million a year to stop the boats.

Jenrick monitored the situation “up close” and his footage shows groups of migrants boarding a bus with no tickets travelling through villages and they are seen blatantly carrying life jackets heading to beach.

Jenrick interviewed a man from Saudi Arabia who was an office worker and he says that he will settle in London.

Jenrick said, “It’s not long before a man warns me to leave the camp and moments later, bottles are thrown at me.

Jenrick’s video footage shows around 40 to 70 migrants moving through towns and villages freely with no police presence.

He said, “They just said that they don’t think the police will be sent out. We’ve literally gone to a camp, found a group of migrants holding life jackets, watch them get on to a public bus in plain sight of everyone.

“We watch them walk through Dunkirk. And we’ve given £800million to France, we didn’t see a police officer the whole day and now we’ve just phoned them. It doesn’t sound they even going to bother to come out.”

“The numbers are staggering, and the lack of enforcement is shocking,” Jenrick added.

“We give France huge sums of British taxpayers’ money, and yet we watched migrants board buses and walk through Dunkirk without a single police officer in sight.

“This is not border security; this is a system being exploited.”
