According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) Ukrainian forces can strike “at least 250 military objects” deep inside Russia using long-range weapons they already posses.

The ISW released satellite images and maps that clearly shows at least 250 military targets that can be attacks using the US supplied assignments of ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile Systems).

However, Washington said the ATACMS can be used to strike Russian units inside occupied areas within Ukraine and Crimea only.

A US national security official said that the long-range missiles will not be effective, but ISW analysts said there is “at least 350 military objects” inside Russia that could be easily attacked using the ATACMS.

US officials don’t believe Putin is ‘serious’ in wanting to win the war

As per Newsweek the ISW said there is a long list of potential targets Ukrainian forces can attack, such as repair facilities, ammunition depots, fuel depots, 17 airfields and communication networks.

Vladimir Putin will find it “extremely difficult or impossible” to “quickly redeploy assets” to protect or move their equipment in time before any planned attack.

In an update the ISW wrote, “Only 17 of these 250 objects are airfields, and it is unlikely that the Russian military has redeployed assets away from all the other 233 objects to the same degree as it has reportedly done with aviation assets.”

“Ukrainian forces do not have to strike every single Russian military and paramilitary object in Russia within range of Western-provided weapons to start generating significant operational pressures on the Russian military,” they added.

The US think tank continued, “US officials’ comments centered on Russia’s redeployment of air assets have so far largely ignored the majority of targets in range of ATACMS that Ukrainian forces could strike if US prohibitions were lifted.”

Ukraine has revealed a new “class of weapon” which can strike Russia air bases to “destroy” Russia’s “offensive potential.”

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine has used the new “Palianystia” rocket-drone is more than capable of reaching two dozen Russian military airfields.

The two dozen Russian airbases are in strike range and by blowing up airfields and warplanes this will be the start of saving lives in Ukraine, Zelensky said.

Zelensky said on Sunday, “In the two and a half years of full-scale war, Russia has launched about 10,000 missiles of various types and more than 33,000 glide bombs at Ukraine.

“Stopping attacks on our cities can be achieved by targeting the carriers of this weaponry—Russian aircraft stationed at military airfields.”

He added, “The number of rocket drones’ production will grow just like our long-range strike drones production did, whose efficiency we see almost daily.”
