Panic stricken Russian forces have fled their positions abandoning vasts amounts of equipment and have left another key town.

The town of Kreminna is just a few miles from the strategic city of Severodonetsk which has been abandoned by Russian troops amid Ukraine’s counteroffensive.

Severodonetsk neighbours the city of Lysychansk which is also a strategic position for Vladimir Putin as it is in the Luhansk region which borders Russia.

The Kyiv Independent reported on Telegram, “Russian army leaves key town of Kreminna.

“The city is ‘completely empty’, and the Ukrainian flag raised by local partisans still flies high, Luhansk Governor Serhiy Haidai said on Telegram.

“Kreminna lies only 25 kilometers northwest of Severodonetsk, which Russian forces occupied over a month of fierce fighting over May and June.”

If this unverified report is accurate then the Ukrainian authorities now have full control of the territory of Luhansk Oblast which will be an enormous hammer blow for Putin and the Kremlin which could sign the tyrants fate.

The Luhansk Governor Serhiy Haidai said on Telegram this morning the liberation of Luhansk will start with Kreminna and Svatovo, and “every centimetre of Luhansk” will be reclaimed.

The governor of Luhansk said, “The large-scale de-occupation of Luhansk region will begin from Kreminnaya and Svatovo; the Russians have already begun to move equipment closer to these cities. The main impact will be there.

“Today, Kreminna is completely empty – the Russian Army has left the city. The Ukrainian flag raised by the partisans flies there.”

Russian defences and lines of communications have collapsed in Kharkiv Oblast and their logistics hub in Izyum has also been abandoned by “fleeing” troops.

Tactically it now makes sense for Ukrainian troops to position their forces on the Luhansk and Donetsk front lines by applying pressure in a counterattack to seek, destroy and push back the Russian troops.
