Moscow is nervous as Shoigu orders better naval defence over Black Sea Fleet ‘attacks’

Russia has lost hundreds of millions of dollars worth of naval ships as Ukraine have been attacking the Black Sea Fleet with “unmanned boats.”

The Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered more detailed training “to repel air attacks” on their navy.

Shoigu has ordered additional fire weapons, larger calibre machine gun systems to be installed across the remaining Black Sea Fleet in an attempt to destroy Ukrainian drones.

In a post on Telegram, the Defence Ministry said Shoigu has ordered “constant training with personnel both during the day and at night to repel enemy terrorist attacks.”

He wants these efforts to increase the “survivability of ships and vessels, and the security of infrastructure facilities in the fleet’s area of responsibility.”

Shoigu added, “Every day it is necessary to conduct training with personnel. Training to repel air attacks and attacks by unmanned boats.

“Conduct day and night so that all our crews are ready.”

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have said that since the start of the war on 24 February, 2022 they have taken out 33% of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

The Department of Strategic Communications said that in total Russia has lost “24 warships and one submarine.”

They said, Ukraine took out about 33% of the warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet during the large-scale invasion.”

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, “our military disabled 24 Russian ships and one submarine.”

According to data from open sources, at the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the Russian Black Sea fleet consisted of 74 warships.

“Aggression against Ukraine is harmful for your fleet,” the Department of Strategic Communications added.
