Motorola has expanded the mid-range Fusion lineup with a brand-new model. The Edge 70 Fusion+ just debuted in Brazil, positioned right above the standard Edge 70 Fusion. The big highlight here is the addition of a telephoto lens, bringing a versatile photography experience.

You also get a slightly faster Snapdragon chip.

What’s on offer for around $500?

The company unveiled the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion+ with a triple camera setup on the rear. This consists of a 50MP Sony LYT710 main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom.

In comparison, the standard Edge 70 only had a dual camera system that skipped the telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, the front houses a 50MP camera on the front, which also supports 4K video recording.

Is it really faster, though?

The Edge 70 Fusion launched with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, with only select markets, like India, getting the faster Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. But this newer chip makes its way to the Edge 70 Fusion+, which is also coupled with an Adreno 810 GPU. Alongside the chip, you get 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Here’s everything else

Out of the box, it will run on the Android 16 OS based Hello UI custom skin. The front sports a tall 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support.

Powering the device is a 5,200mAh battery pack with 68W wired fast charging support. Connectivity options include WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 6, NFC, and dual SIM support. Design is another major talking point, as Motorola has managed to pack this cell in a 7.21mm body that weighs just 177 grams. You also get an IP68 + IP69 rating and military-grade durability certification.
