A NATO country has told European nations that if North Korean soldiers fight in Ukraine then they must put “boots on the ground.”

In an interview with Politico the Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis that European leaders must reconsider the French idea of deploying EU troops inside Ukraine.

In February the French President Emmanuel Macron positioned the idea of boots inside Ukraine, but the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz opposed the idea.

The French President said that “Russia cannot win this war” and he has refused to rule out sending troops to Ukraine.

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister said, “If information about Russia’s killing squads being equipped with North Korean ammunition and military personnel is confirmed, we have to get back to ‘boots on the ground’ and other ideas proposed by Macron.”

Landsbergis added, “Regretfully, we are lagging again, being reactive, but I believe in our joint capacity to make all the necessary proactive steps to turn President Macron’s ideas into action.”

South Korean said on Tuesday they could send troops to Ukraine to monitor North Korean soldiers fighting Vladimir Putin’s war.

South Korean troops could play a part with interrogations of captured North Korean soldiers and analyse their military tactics fighting in Russia’s full-scale war.

Seoul is also considering helping Ukraine with weapons since Putin signed a military decree with North Korea.

In March Macron warned allies that we are “approaching a moment in our Europe” and he urged allies “not to be a coward” as now is the time to step up to the mark in Ukraine.

Macron said that “all option are possible” in Ukraine, but “we’re not in that situation today.”

Macron added, “We are certainly approaching a moment in our Europe where it will be appropriate not to be a coward.”

The French President that both France and the Czech Republic are “well aware that war is back on our soil (Europe), that some powers which have become unstoppable are extending every day their threat of attacking us even more, and that we will have to live up to history and the courage that it requires.”
