Harvard physicist Professor Dr Avi Loeb has sent alarm bells ringing as earlier this month he said the interstellar object travelling though the solar system could possibly by an “alien spaceship.”

Prof. Loeb who has been studying what is known as 31/Atlas from the Hubble Telescope, has suggested it is generating its own light, the physicist is saying he believes the alien spaceship is nuclear powered.

The object has been called 31/Atlas by astronomers which is 12 to 13 miles in diameter and is on a path that will bring the possible comet or “alien spaceship” close to earth.

The object was first found travelling through space in July by the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) telescope in Chile, this is only third time an object in space has been watched entering and travelling through our solar system, NASA confirms.

Prof. Loeb has said the object is not a massive piece of rock and he is claiming that it is in fact an “alien vessel” which has extraterrestrials.

Prof, Loeb said it is “quite surprising” that the interstellar object has an unexpected white glow in front, instead of trailing from the rear which is what is always observed, such as a shooting star.

He said that the light cannot be explained as it is not sunlight reflection and it does not have the standard gassing that comets have.

He has dismissed the idea of natural power sources and stated that a primordial black hole only generates around 20 nanowatts, this is too weak and it is also unlikely it is a radioactive supernova.

Prof. Loeb wrote, “Alternatively, 3I/ATLAS could be a spacecraft powered by nuclear energy, and the dust emitted from its frontal surface might be from dirt that accumulated on its surface during its interstellar travel.

“This cannot be ruled out, but requires better evidence to be viable.”

NASA’s observations have suggested the object is smaller than they first thought, space agency is saying that “illumination by sunlight cannot explain” why there is scattered light.

Prof Loeb has said 31/Atlas will not hit earth and will get close to the sum on 30 October, around 130 million miles.

Prof Loeb suggests this “could be intentional to avoid detailed observations from Earth-based telescopes.”

He warned that if it is alien, then it is “potentially hostile,” he added, it could also be “a completely natural interstellar object.”

Should the object be an alien spacecraft then it will have to change course, if it slows down then it is definitely not a comet, if it travels past earth then it is most likely a piece of space rock.

Former Ministry of Defence (MoD) UFO investigator Nick Pope said, “It is not beyond the realms of science fiction that 31/Atlas could be an alien spaceship of some kind.

He added, “It’s an unusual size, unusual acceleration, unusual course and unusual behaviour those things combined very closely match a sort of mapping or survey mission.”

Pope said there could be a natural answer as to what the object could be, he said, “Of course, this could turn out to be just a comet or an asteroid albeit an interstellar one, so interesting and incredibly rare.”

Pope added, “The good thing is this is a testable hypothesis.”
