The Kremlin has expressed their satisfaction Donald Trump’s administration will not allow Ukraine “membership in NATO,” and the Kremlin has heard “at various levels” this is now “off the table.”

The US President Trump gone against the NATO Secretary General who vowed that Ukraine will be granted membership to the alliance once the war is over, but now Washington has gone all out to “satisfy” Moscow.

In September 2022 Kyiv applied for NATO membership after Russia launched a full-scale war on Ukraine, but they are yet to receive a formal invite.

The US Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg said on Sunday to Fox News that “NATO isn’t on the table.”

However, Mark Rutte, NATO’s Secretary General said recently that Ukraine’s path to joining the alliance is “irreversible” as it was agreed at the NATO summit in 2024 and no peace settlement will prevent this from happening.

The Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “We have heard from Washington at various levels that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is out of the question.

“Of course, this is something that satisfies us and aligns with our position that Ukraine should not be a NATO member.”

US ready to walk away ‘within day’s’ unleass there is a peace deal as Ukraine is ‘not our war’

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that the US recognises Crimea’s annexation which could potentially, be part of the peace deal, although this has not been confirmed by the White House.

Peskov is refusing to address claims that the US will recognise Crimea as Russian, Reuters reported.

Reuters reported that the Kremlin’s spokesman said, “Work on finding a peaceful settlement cannot take place, and should not take place, in public. It should take place in an absolutely discrete mode.”

Ukraine said in January that Moscow are trying to interfere with Ukrainian politics by blackmailing Kyiv and Donald Trump to not allow Kyiv to join NATO or the war will not end.

Putin wants the war to end and needs to the conflict to stop, but he will only do this on his terms.

Moscow has said that Ukraine cannot be allowed to join NATO and this is a key condition to end the war.

At the Bucharest summit in 2008 NATO promised to allow Ukraine to join and in 2024 Kyiv was told in Washington that they are on an “irreversible” path to join the alliance.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Heorhiy Tykhy sharply responded to Moscow saying on Friday, saying this is “utter bull***t.”

Tykhy said, “Aw shucks, North Korea’s ally issuing ultimatums to NATO. Utter bullshit. Moscow has no say here. Russia is waging an aggressive war in Europe. Its occupation forces are in Ukraine and other European countries.”
