Vladimir Putin has been summons to a meeting by the Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan for crunch talks for peace over the Ukrainian war.
The “very interesting” meeting will take place on Thursday in Kazakhstan where there will be demands for peace talks with Ukraine.
A Kremlin aide aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed the meeting between the two leaders on Thursday in the capital Astana on 13 October.
The Kremlin aide said, “Now many say that the Turks are ready to come up with other initiatives in the context of the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

“There are reports in the press that the Turkish side is putting forward specific considerations in this regard, I do not exclude that Erdoğan will actively touch on this topic during the Astana contact.
“So a very interesting and, I hope, useful discussion awaits us.”
The Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will also attend the meeting as an “observer.”
Almost two weeks ago Putin announced that he is is ready to enter talks with Ukraine to negotiate the end of the ongoing war and insists he will not return the annexed territories.
Putin said, “We suggest returning to the talks,” but we’re not going to discuss the choice that people have made in the newly annexed regions, adding Russia is not going to betray it.”
The Russian tyrant said that Ukrainians of the four regions – Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, “are becoming our citizens for good.”
However, the Ukrainian President said he will not enter talks with Putin and will only have dialogue with another Russian President.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “Ukraine has been and remains a leader in negotiating efforts.
“It was our state that had always offered Russia to agree on coexistence on equal, honest, worthy and fair terms.
“Obviously, this is impossible with this Russian President.”
Zelensky stressed that Putin “does not know what dignity and honesty are.
“We are ready for a dialogue with Russia, but with another Russian president.”
He added that peace will only return once all the Russian occupiers are removed from all the territory of Ukraine, which includes the four annexed regions and Crimea.
“We will follow this path,” Zelensky concluded.
