Putin Told to ‘Stand Up for Iran’ Against the West – London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com

Vladimir Putin has faced increasing pressure to provide immediate military support to Iran, a key ally, in light of the recent launch of Operation Epic Fury.

This military initiative has raised alarms, prompting discussions about forming a “military coalition” comprising authoritarian states to strengthen Tehran’s defences.

Russian MP Alexei Zhuravlev emphasised the urgency of this situation, stating, “It is clear that the United States will no longer attempt to engage in diplomatic negotiations and is poised to launch attacks against new adversaries with renewed vigour.”

He said: “This is not a situation where we should limit ourselves to protest notes, but rather stand up for Iran before it is too late, by all possible means, including military support.”

He further warned that Russia may become the next target and highlighted the urgent need for Tehran to be supplied with essential resources, including advanced weaponry and intelligence, to counter the threat posed by US military actions successfully.

“It even makes sense to create a military coalition for this confrontation, otherwise the collective West will pick everyone off one by one,” he added

Moscow politicians have noted a troubling irony: while the United States is engaged in negotiations with Iran regarding nuclear issues—parallel to its discussions with Russia concerning a peaceful resolution in Ukraine—this dialogue has not prevented aggressive military actions.

The US has executed a series of strikes aimed at destabilising Iran’s leadership, even while negotiations were purportedly ongoing.

Alexander Dugin, a prominent ideologue aligned with Putin, characterised these strikes as more than just isolated attacks on Tehran; he views them as part of a broader, systematic campaign to undermine Moscow’s allies in the region.

Citing recent geopolitical shifts, such as the collapse of Maduro’s government in Venezuela and the ongoing conflict in Syria that threatens the Assad dynasty, Dugin asserted, “One by one, our allies are being systematically destroyed.”

He underscored the implications of such an aggressive strategy, declaring that it is increasingly evident who the next target is and what it means to negotiate with an adversary as formidable as the United States. “The most crucial factor at this moment—for Iran, for Russia, and for humanity as a whole—is the prospect of a prolonged conflict in the Middle East,” he warned.

Amidst these developments, the US has intensified its military activities in the region, conducting fresh airstrikes aimed at Iranian positions overnight, further escalating tensions and contributing to an uncertain and volatile geopolitical landscape.
