Vladimir Putin has directly threatened the West warning that we are “one step away” from “World War Three.”

Putin once again said that Russia will enter into direct conflict with the West as Emmanuel Macron said he cannot rule out deploying French troops to Ukraine in the future.

Macron said last week that “all option are possible” in Ukraine, but “we’re not in that situation today.”

Reuters asked Putin over the French President’s comment which could risk conflict between NATO and Russia.

Putin said in his first major speech since winning the election, “Everything is possible in the modern world.

“It is clear to everyone, that this will be one step away from a full-scale World War Three. I think hardly anyone is interested in this.”

The Russian dictator said that they are fully aware that NATO personnel are on the ground in the battlefields of Ukraine and that they have intercepted French and English being spoken.

Putin added, “There is nothing good in this, first of all for them, because they are dying there and in large numbers.”

Last week the Russian leader said he has ordered for Russian troops to be deployed to the NATO border and warned that nuclear weapons “exist in order to use them.”

Finland’s Prime Minister Petteri Orpo told the European Parliament last Wednesday that Vladimir Putin is “evidently” preparing for a “long conflict” with the West.

In an interview with propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov for Rossiya-1 TV, the Russian despot said Moscow is “ready” from “a military-technical point of view” in the event of any threat to national security.

Putin again warned of a potential nuclear war with the West, he said, “From a military-technical point of view, we are, of course, ready.

“Weapons exist in order to use them.

“We have our own principles.”

He added, “Why do we need to use weapons of mass destruction? There has never been such a need.”

Expert Dr Stephen Hall, from the Henry Jackson Society said that Putin being re-elected will trigger an “escalation in the aggression against Ukraine and the West.”

Dr Hall told The Sun, “There is a possibility that he would use a small nuclear weapon that would take out a block out of Kyiv or Kharkiv.

“For Putin, this is existential. He won’t settle for a frozen conflict, there is going to be Russian antipathy towards Ukraine as long as Putin remains in power.”
