The US President has not ruled out using nuclear weapons in Iran to attack the Fordow nuclear enrichment site which is deep underground.

The Kremlin has warned Washington that even if they were to carefully use a nuclear weapon on the nuclear facility in Iran the consequences could be “catastrophic.”

Speak to TASS news agency the Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there has “been a lot o”f speculation.

Peskov was asked about Donald Trump not ruling out using a nuclear weapon, the Kremlin’s spokesman said, “This would be a catastrophic development. But there are so many speculations that in fact, it’s impossible to comment on them.”

The Fordow nuclear facility is heavily guarded and is built inside a mountain near Qom and around 60 miles from the Iran’s capital city, Tehran which is home to around 10 million Iranians.

Envoys from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have expressed their concerns to the United Nation’s nuclear watchdog over Israel bombing nuclear facilities inside Iran.

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi was told by six Gulf states over the “dangerous repercussions” in a meeting in Vienna.

An Israeli military official has confirmed that two centrifuge production sites have been hit in Iran, and Reuters reported citing an official that the site is Isfahan, which enriches uranium.

Isfahan nuclear facility is one of Iran’s largest facilities and Tehran’s Fars news agency confirmed the site was hit during an Israeli attack.

The British Foreign Secretary David Lammy has warned the situation is “perilous and deadly serious,” he is urging Iran to negotiate with the US, but Tehran has ruled this out whilst Israel continues to attack the country.

Lammy said following a meeting with Iranian Foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, “It is still clear to me, as President Trump indicated yesterday, that there is a window of within two weeks where we can see a diplomatic solution.”

Lammy said is urging Iran to talk to Washington, he added, “We have a window of time. This is perilous and deadly serious.”
