Vladimir Putin’s trip to meet the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un saw them sign a new security agreement.

This new security agreement means that Moscow or North Korea will come to each others aid militarily if one is attacked.

On Thursday North’s official Korean Central News Agency said that the security agreement reached by Putin and Jong Un means that if one of the countries is attacked then a state of war is instantly declared.

If South Korea was deemed by North Korea to being attacked then Russia would be forced to deploy “all means at its disposal without delay” to send immediate “military assistance,” this is quite similar to NATO.

Equally should Moscow claim that they are being attacked by NATO then North Korea would then come to Russia’s aid.

This has been seen as the strongest alliance that Russia and North Korea has had since the Cold War.

Putin signed a nuclear and technology agreement which could see Moscow helping Pyongyang with their nuclear missile programme.

The North Korean dictator said that both Pyongyang and Moscow have had a very “fiery friendship” and the new alliance deal is their “strongest ever treaty.”

The North Korean leader said that he fully supports Putin with Russia’s war in Ukraine, the Russian leader called their new alliance as a “breakthrough document.”

Putin is now in Vietnam to restore Russia Soviet Union ties with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Putin called Vietnam one of Russia’s most “long-standing,” reliable friends and partners.

The Russian leader is seemingly wanting to wake up the Soviet era with Vietnam and said that their relations have come along way since the US invaded the country during the war.

Putin said at a meeting with Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, “It is a pleasure to be in hospitable Vietnam, on the hospitable soil of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

“One of our long-standing and reliable friends and partners.”
