Kyiv has accused Moscow of targeting American businesses on Ukrainian soil, inflicting economic pain far beyond the battlefield.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Russia has “intentionally” struck several key US-linked facilities, including:

  • Boeing’s office in Kyiv
  • A Flex electronics factory in Mukachevo
  • A Bunge sunflower oil plant in Dnipro

“These aren’t random hits — they are attacks designed to hurt the American taxpayer,” Sybiha warned.

The strikes come as part of Russia’s ongoing campaign to disrupt Ukraine’s economy and infrastructure, with Moscow increasingly hitting foreign-linked targets, signalling a dangerous escalation beyond conventional warfare.

Sybiha stressed that such attacks violate international norms, hitting civilian-linked facilities and risking US investment and employment in Ukraine.

The message is clear: Russia’s war isn’t just against Ukraine — it’s sending economic shockwaves straight to Washington.

Sybiha said Moscow has “intentionally” attacked the Boeing office in Kyiv, which is a factory owned by electronics maker Flex in Mukachevo.

Russia has also attacked a sunflower oil production facility in Dnipro, this is also owned by an American agribusiness company Bunge.

“Russia is attacking not only the Ukrainian people but also the American taxpayer. These were strikes against the American economy,” Sybiha wrote on X.

The foreign minister said Russia is seeking a “business-first” relationship with Washington.

“Attacking your ‘partner’s’ factories hardly constitutes a ‘partnership’. These strikes demonstrate that the Kremlin’s seemingly lucrative proposals of economic cooperation are, in fact, nothing more than a ‘Potemkin village’ meant to buy time while dismantling American influence in Europe,” he said.
