A Russian kamikaze drone has entered into a NATO country on Wednesday which is a “violation” of “sovereign air space.”

Ukrainian media reported that the drone entered NATO air space and blew up near to a Romanian village, Bucharest has not confirmed the strike.

The Iranian kamikaze Shahed drone blew up in the vicinity od the Danube River near to the hamlet of Plaura, in the southeastern part of the country.

A video recorded the river port city of Izmail which is opposite Plaura and an orange flash can be seen on Romanian territory following the “explosion.”

Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement that Russian troops in Crimea launched the Iranian made Shahed drone just after midnight, the Kyiv Post reported.

Overnight anti-aircraft gunners, tactical jamming teams and missile operators took out 17 kamikaze drones, two loitering drones and six reconnaissance drones.

An official in Kyiv said that “most” of the downed drones were in southwestern Odesa region which is where the Danube separates from Ukraine and Romania.

An investigation is being undertaken to check the possibility of a Russia strike on NATO’s territory.

In a statement, “The Ministry of National Defense has ordered measures to conduct investigations in the field, in the vicinity of Plauru, to search for possible objects that may have fallen on national territory.”
