President Volodymyr Zelensky is in the US to seek permission from President Joe Biden to use cruise missiles inside the Russian Federation.
President Zelensky has said that Ukraine does not “have much time” and over the coming months “we need to be faster.”
During the annual ceremony of the Golden Plate Award of the American Academy of Achievement in New York on Monday Zelensky said, “We don’t have much time.
“The next few months will be decisive. In this war – Russia’s war against Ukraine and all of you, because this is Russia’s war against freedom itself – we are short of time to define what the outcome will be. And we must define it. Not Russia, not their bloody allies.”

He added, “We need to be faster. We need not to lose the next few months in war, so that we don’t lose next decades… Right now, we all hold the power to shape the world our children and their children will live in.”
A Russian MP has warned that President Zlensky’s “victory plan” is a plane to end the world and extort more money and weapons from “Western masters.”

“Zelensky’s victory plan is a plan for the end of the world, since it means a war with a nuclear power. This is not exactly what the United States is striving for.
“Regardless of who comes to power following the results of the presidential elections, it is beneficial for the Americans to prolong the conflict and shift all costs to their European allies. The plan is to weaken Russia as much as possible and make money from the war with someone else’s hands – the US has adhered to and will continue to adhere to.
“Crying or blackmail by the hypocrite Zelensky will change nothing. His visit to the United States will end in a puff.”
