Samsung leak spoils the Unpacked date for Galaxy S26 series launch

Like every year, almost everything about Samsung’s new flagships is already available on the internet as leaks and rumors. While we already know the Galaxy S26 series won’t be as radical an update as many wanted, it might not come with a revised price tag after all.

A fresh leak, however, seems to have taken all the mystery out of the Galaxy S26’s launch date, or should I say, the first Galaxy Unpacked event’s date, and it’s on the same day as everyone expected it to be.

Galaxy Unpacked date appears to be locked in

Renowned tipster Evan Blass (via X) has shared what appears to be a promotional banner for the purported Galaxy Unpacked event.

The date, as mentioned on the banner, is February 25, 2026, corroborating (and sort of confirming) all the previous reports about it. This is not the first time we’ve heard about Samsung’s big Galaxy S26 launch set for late February.

It was a Korean news outlet that claimed the same day in November 2025. Over time, several industry sources have affirmed the launch timeline in one way or another.

In 2025, Samsung announced the Galaxy S25 on January 22, pre-orders began the next day, while the flagships went on sale from February 7.

What the launch timeline could look like

If the company follows a similar launch schedule this year, the Galaxy S26 should be available to purchase by the end of the second week in March.

Along with the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung should also unveil the Galaxy Buds 4 lineup at the event. For those catching up, we should see two TWS earbuds at the event: Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

Most recently, we reported that the flagship earbuds could arrive at a similar price to last year’s Galaxy Buds 3.
