You may be in the process of opening up your very own business. If this is the case then you could be struggling with knowing how to get your company seen and heard. It is well known that as many as 90% of new businesses don’t make it to their fifth year of trading. This can be due to many things, running out of money or not having enough knowledge about the business world for instance. If you don’t want this to be you then take a look at the article below for some tips and tricks.

Strong website

One of the best things you can do for your business is have a decent website that runs effectively. If your website doesn’t load or runs very slowly then your customers may get bored and take their money elsewhere. Your website should be as engaging as possible, this is where customers and clients will place orders when your business doors are closed for the day. Ideally, your customers should be no more than three clicks away from the page or product they are looking for. You might want to add a search bar to your website, that way you know that your customers can find the things they want or need.

Creative identity

If you want your business to stand out from the crowd then you need to figure out your brand identity. Having your own identity means you will become known with your customers and clients and they will look forward to shopping with you. If you need some help with your brand identity then you could consult the help of a design agency. They will sort everything for you including content and images.

Customer service team

Ensuring your business stands the test of time all comes down to how you handle your customers when they run into issues. Having a specialist customer service team who have previous experience dealing with customer complaints will go a long way. When you help your customers and find them solutions to their issues they won’t hesitate to shop with you again.

You could also add an FAQ section to your website, that way your customers can find the answers they are looking for right away. It might also help you and your customers to add a chatbot to your page and have a dedicated team looking at it. If there are any enquiries or questions that need to be answered then your customers and clients aren’t waiting around for replies.

Employees

Your team of employees can either make or break your company. You need a team working for you that has your businesses best interest at heart. Hiring the right people comes down to the questions you ask and the checks you conduct during the hiring process. You need your employees to all work well together in perfect harmony. Office politics can mean people don’t want to work with each other or could lead to individuals leaving. This is the last thing you want as your employees constantly leaving can and will end up with you having a high employee churn rate. This is not what you want to be dealing with when you have a brand new company as time away to hire new people means you are not earning any money.

Don’t overspend

Money makes the world go round, especially in business. Without money you won’t get very far with everything you need. This includes rent for your location, stock, and tech for your staff to name a few. It is important you don’t overspend or run out of money as this can cause your business to shut down. Speak to accountants who will help you with where to spend the majority of your money and where you can save.

Respond to reviews

Reviews can be detrimental for your business so you need to ensure you deal with the negative ones as they arise. Reviews for your business can be left anywhere from internet search pages to social media platforms. Make sure you are keeping an eye on these and reply instantly to see if there is some solution you can offer the reviewer. It is important you also reply to the positive ones as well as the negative ones, you don’t want anyone to be left out.

It is well known that around 80% of customers and clients check reviews before they shop with a new company. You don’t want negative reviews to bring your rating down and put people off shopping with you.

Hopefully you found this article helpful and that it gave you some ideas on how you can ensure your business is seen and heard. Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day so you shouldn’t expect your business to be the best on the market overnight. Take your time, know what works for you and grow from that.
