On Friday under the cover of darkness “illegal migrants were bussed” to the Britannia Hotel at Canary Wharf.
Literally “one day” after the asylum seekers arrived at the luxury hotel clashes broke out as “delivery drivers were filmed” trying to leave the Britannia Hotel.
The security fences opened as the biked tried to leave and people blocked them from leaving.
The person filming the incident claimed that they are delivery drivers working illegally, the man said, “Tell me these ain’t delivery drivers, guys,” and one man could be heard shouting “F*** off!”
Security guards then tried to open the gates again and were pushed back, the man filming said, “Look, it’s all kicking off now,” interestingly the police were not called, it seems.
Political commentator Lee Harris wrote on X, “Delivery drivers have been filmed trying to leave the Britannia Hotel in Canary Wharf just ONE DAY after illegal migrants were bussed in *at night*.
“Locals are seen pushing them back.”

According to an investigation last month, within hours after migrants cross the English Channel they are working as fast-food delivery drivers.
The Sun newspaper found that Just Eat and Deliveroo are offering migrants work “within 10 minutes of asking” via social media.

The Sun newspaper undercover reporters found that migrants who are staying in hotels across the UK at taxpayers expense are joining many media groups which are offering delivery accounts to rent.
The Sun newspaper’s undercover reporters found during their probe that the migrants are paying around £40 a week for the login details to the accounts.
The investigation found that migrants are working 15-hour shifts and are using taxpayers hotels to sleep, eat for free and store their bikes and uniforms and can earn hundreds of pounds weekly.
The Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp wrote on X there is “clear evidence” that these migrants are working illegally for Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
Philp wrote, “These illegal immigrants are not allowed to work as delivery drivers while their asylum claim is pending, but when I looked in the bike store in the hotel, I saw delivery bags for Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats on the bikes.
“Please can you commit to removing any driver … as a courier who does not have the right to work in the UK, including at this hotel site and elsewhere. I would be grateful if you could set out what further specific steps you will take (above what you currently do, which is evidently not working) in relation to this site and more generally to prevent illegal working.”
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said at the time, “Illegal working undermines honest business, exploits vulnerable individuals and fuels organised immigration crime.
“By enhancing our data sharing with delivery companies, we are taking decisive action to close loopholes and increase enforcement.
The changes come alongside a 50% increase in raids and arrests for illegal working under the Plan for Change, greater security measures, and tough new legislation.
